Privacy Policy

Considering the importance of security control and appropriate use of personal information, we stipulate the personal information protection policy as shown below for the handling of personal information. We promise that we will do our best to protect all personal information we hold.

  1. Compliance with Related Laws and Regulations
    In the handling of personal information, we will comply with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” (Act No. 57 of May 30, 2003) and other related laws and regulations.

  2. Appropriate Use of Personal Information
    We will clarify the purpose of use of customers’ personal information through publication on our website, etc. or notification in writing and, unless otherwise specified under laws or regulations, use the information within the scope required for achievement of that purpose of use.
    Note that for identification of the purpose of use, we will make efforts to have the customers understand the purpose more clearly by, for example, taking measures to limit the purpose of use in accordance with customers’ attributes in view of the relevant business details or measures to limit the purpose of use depending on customers’ choice. In addition, in relation to information acquisition, we will make efforts to specifically and clearly indicate the source of the personal information or the method of its acquisition (type of acquisition, etc.) as far as possible.

  3. Utilization of Personal Credit Information Institution
    We will not use the personal information recorded at the personal credit information institution of which we are a member for any purpose other than investigation of repayment capacity.

  4. Security Control of Personal Information
    We will make efforts to prevent the personal information we hold from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, leakage, etc. and will take appropriate security control measures.

  5. Provision of Personal Information to a Third party
    We will not provide customers’ personal information to a third party without obtaining prior consent from the customers in question unless otherwise specified under laws or regulations.

  6. Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling
    In the case of outsourcing personal information handling to an outside contractor, we will select a contractor considered to be appropriately handling personal information in light of the standards we stipulate, execute an agreement, etc. to assure appropriate handling, and implement necessary and appropriate supervision so that the personal information will be used under proper security control by the contractor.
    Further, by clarifying whether outsourcing is conducted, contents of outsourced paperwork, etc., we will make efforts to improve the transparency of the outsourced paperwork as far as possible.

  7. Maintenance and Improvement of Personal Information Protection
    For appropriate handling of personal information, we will provide all of our officers and employees with education on the personal information protection and have periodic audits on the handling situations in order to implement and continuously improve this protection policy.

  8. Establishing Helpdesk for Personal Information
    We will establish a helpdesk to answer questions from customers in relation to the handling of personal information and will make efforts to take appropriate and quick actions.
    Note that if the person in question makes a request about the personal data we hold, we will make efforts to satisfy such request as far as possible.
